I had to hack into Bauer's computer today to look for a photo, and came across this Aitken ad from a little while back. Basically, It's being posted because it's badass!!!
This photo was taken in our warehouse here in California during one of Mike's visits. Our sketchy ramps were setup in front of the stock shelves (you can see some of the inventory) in the best location to allow Mike some setup and runway space from outside. Jeff Z. was called in, and Mike fired out this sweet move.
If you look closely, you can see our forklift, and the extension cord which is powering the Odyssey sign.
Click on the pic to see it big.
Have a good 4th of July weekend!

Yo yo,
This is a scanned copy of an article the Appleton newspaper just ran on me. It was the biggest article in the sports section with a really big color photo of the Ride cover. Newspapers (especially sports sections) are hard to deal with sometimes because they don't quite grasp what we do (hence the "racing" references..haha) but I think it turned out alright. I scanned these black and white so they wouldn't be enormous files to email.
Talk Soon!
Brian

1. The taxi stand next door. They not only noise pollute; they horrendously pollute the air with cars that haven’t passed state inspection, can barely make it down the road and often come back to the garage via tow truck. If you’re in the market for a new apartment, I can tell you that I’ve learned the hard way to never live next to a taxi stand, an auto mechanic or the bane of 7:00 AM known as the air impact wrench.
2. People not wanting to use the door bell in our building, instead insisting on standing on the sidewalk out front and yelling upwards at the person they’re trying to reach. “Rosa!!!! Ignacio!!!!” (Yes, there’s a person named Ignacio that lives in our building, or who was at least here for a while…)
3. Ice-cream trucks. Randomly throughout the day, I’ll catch myself whistling the tune of the ice cream truck and kick myself for falling victim to his soothing shrill.
4. This one senior citizen bus that always comes down our street between 3:15 and 4:15 in the afternoon, laying on the horn for anything that might cross its path. (On a sidenote, I’ve noticed a paradox regarding the car horn. When it’s me beeping the horn, I think it’s awesome. But when it’s directed at myself or something else within earshot of me, I hate the damn thing.)
5. Fire engines. I swear this town has more 911 calls per capita than anywhere else in the world. Though I will say this. Everyone double parks in this town. Everyone. And coincidentally, the one and only time I actually witnessed the fire department extinguish an actual fire was because some dumbass had double-parked his mini-van, left it running, and come back only to find his family running out of said mini-van on fire. Unfortunately, they left the scene in a taxi from number 1 in my list…

UK Team has been puttin’ in work. Here’s a big update from Owain Clegg:
Ben Wallace just got back from the Baltimore Dew Tour where he got 12th but also came away with a meniscus tear in his knee so he is possibly getting that operated on.
Jason Phelan is in NYC with We The People. He was also on the Ride To Glory trip, only he had a bad backwards rail crash which resulted in a Jimmy Levan style fit. He is okay now but he looked in a bad way by the end.
Robin Fenlon has been working a lot for Ride UK, he has a bigger roll now in the mag. He went to that Kevin Robinson high air thing which looked funny, not my cup of tea.
Matt Roe is waiting on his signature frame coming out on Mutiny.
I (Owain Clegg) have been riding a bunch and did a demo for the local council last weekend. Also got back from the Ride To Glory trip which was a lot of fun, also got an article coming up in this Ride UK from a Shadow filming trip around the UK. Pretty psyched on it, and I am just finishing off my ramp in my garden.
Loz just finished his art degree and just got accepted for a place in London where only 20 people from the country are allocated. I am also just finishing up an Orchid web edit for him so I will send it over as soon as it is done.
Mark Love has been riding a bunch and rode really well on the ride to glory trip. He also has a wicked video on the Federal home page.

The following came from Bug Eyed Funk:
I just want to draw your attention the new video on ‘No Handed Music’, featuring Profiles newest talent, ‘James Harrison’. The idea was to create a middle ground between a music video and a BMX shoot, something artistically edited to the music, adding flow to the footage, and an added air of excitement, which would ultimately compliment both the rider and the tune.
Myself and Mr No Hands are really keen to get involved in more projects like these, combining our love for music, and extreme sports, and we’d really appreciate your support by featuring what we’re doing on your excellent website in order to help expose what we’re doing.
Furthermore, if you have some footage, and would like us to do a video for you, we’d obviously really like that.
The video in question can be seen here:

We just spent the day driving to the BMX Masters! Unfortunately it was raining on arrival... Usually this means disaster for the dirt jumps but this time theyve been built under the Zoobrucke bridge! They are pretty large as well, a few riders have taken some heavy slams on the technical burly first jump into the berm. Check this out..

Colum flew off to the BMX Masters in Germany this morning. When we flew last time ole “One Gin” lost his wallet. This time he’s lost his bike! Its the airlines fault mind you. Hopefully he’ll get it back before the comp or ideally before he blows his stack and destroys das airport. You’ve been warned ya. Good luck Col

Absolutely chuffed to announce that our very own little (well not so little these days) ripper Levi Rogers has been picked up for the UK Subrosa Team! Amazing but thoroughly deserved. Nice one Levi, more power to yer elbow. Yet again, I’ve nicked the images from Levi’s myspace. I think they’re either Buzzo’s or Jays. I’ll confirm. Sorry
